While this year has been difficult for all of us, many flight attendants have lost their jobs due to the impact that COVID19 has had on the airline industry. Many grounded crew members have taken this extra time to use their talents and create or grow their own businesses! As we approach the holiday season, let’s do what we can to support small businesses, especially ones owned by our fellow flight attendants around the world. We’ve compiled some of our favorites below, but feel free to tell us about your own flight attendant-owned businesses in the comments!

A special thank you to all of the businesses that took the time to comment on our post on social media asking about flight attendant-owned businesses back in September. We love seeing how creative our fellow flight attendants are – both on and off the plane! If you’re a flight attendant that owns your own business and we didn’t mention it here, tell us all about it in the comments below!

My shop is KamanThings and I sell witty and aesthetic flight attendant stickers, pins, and more recently, apparel. Since furlough, I woke up everyday without a purpose. Instead of feeling like I’m wasting more time, I decided to pursue my dream of owning a small business. This has given me so much purpose during my time away from flying and I’m having so much fun making things I love. My idea for the shop came out of my frustration of having a hard time finding FA merch that wasn’t cheesy or not well designed. Please check out my shop below!

Thank you so much for featuring small businesses by FA’s! We appreciate it so much!
Everybody seems to love KamanThings! Such great ideas. Thank you for sharing, Kaman.
Hi guys! I’m a Seattle based flight attendant, taking a little break and for the time being, created a sustainable brand and shop called Handpicked Lemons. Handpicked Lemons is an anti-subscription box. We intentionally and sustainably source items for our clients based on their personalities. We gather information via a lengthy (but fun!) personality survey then piece together items that would bring them the most joy. Our items are either thrifted, handcrafted, donated by small businesses, and sometimes upcycled.
Alternatively, we also offer themed boxes (no survey required) and intentional sweatshirts, (thrifted and handcrafted to personalize them). For the holidays, we’re also offering gift boxes in which clients fill out mini surveys for the gift recipient. We launch about every 2-3 weeks and ship everywhere in the US!
For more information or to place an order on what we have in stock in the shop, visit: http://www.handpickedlemons.com and follow us on Instagram at http://www.instagram.com/handpickedlemons for updates about the next launch! X
Cool idea. Thanks for sharing, Rosie!
Hi :) I was not a flight attendant, but a ground one. Lost the same job twice in less than a year – first time when national carrier JP collapsed, second time because of corona. Our main international airport has 1 or 2 flights per day these days. Times are weird.
So, I’m running an online store with aviation and travel themed products – eventually I would like to offer something for every profession and role in aviation. You are welcome to check it out at allthingsplanes.eu and to keep in touch via instagram or facebook. I have a background in anthropology, so I also decided to do research on anthropology of aviation and travel as a side hobby – it’s not part of my website for now as I’m still gathering material. If there is a story or an issue you would like to share, please contact me, I am collecting everything on everything – from cargo cults to descriminations at workplace to various parts of aviation culture like plane spotters – share your story or opinion for academical purposes ;)
I’m also translating from English and French to Slovenian.
I wish you all good luck on your business paths and I hope times get better :)
Thank you for sharing, Lucija!
Hi there, my name is Shauna. I started in the industry with Virgin America, now Alaska and have been on leave since March. I am currently on maternity leave until august.
I’m saddened for all those that have not made it through this pandemic, by either losing their jobs or forced on furlough. My heart is with you!
It’s difficult to find other options these days and many have turned to other means of making money. For these reasons and because I had a little extra time on my hands, I started Golden Bae Clay, a polymer clay earring business. It’s such a fun and therapeutic craft and I’m absolutely thrilled to share it with people.
I have an Etsy store and sell directly as well. My first Market Faire will be December 12, here in the town I live!
You can find me at:

My name is Alexis and I am a flight attendant for United! In May, I took a leave of absence and started focusing on my small crochet business, CroShea Company! I was part of the group of flight attendants that was involuntary furloughed in October and with the traction I got on my LOA, have decided to run my business full time for as long as I can while I am furloughed.
I mostly make plushies, but love to make blankets and other home decor as well.
My Instagram and Twitter handles are both @crosheaco and you check out my full shop at crosheaco.com.

Hello,
My name is Jacky and I am a flight attendant for Spirit Airlines. I’ve been with the company for almost 3 years now and have loved every minute of it. During this crazy time of quarantine and this pandemic it really gave me sometime to sit with myself ask how can I share my creative talents to not only my fellow flight attendants but to everyone! And that’s how I came up with Designs by Jacky. I crear fun personalized letter keychains, in all colors and style creating a cute accessory to any bag or luggage. Hope you love my products as much as I do 💛 you can find me on Etsy/Facebook/ and Instagram @designsbyjacky
Hi There,
Just a heads-up that I believe this link is broken on your website: https://twoguysonaplane.com/ourstory
I had a couple of them on my own site before I started using a service to monitor for them. There are a few sites that do this but we like DeadLinkSearch.com.
