We just got back from an epic week in Croatia (July 29–August 4, 2025), and honestly every moment felt like you were living in a postcard. This is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited and we had so much fun getting lost in the streets and exploring with our group.

SPLIT
We kicked things off in Split, where the ancient Roman walls of Diocletian’s Palace felt less like history and more like the coolest backdrop to our selfies. The winding alleyways were a maze of cozy cafés, gelato stands, and seafood restaurants serving grilled fish that was so fresh. Straight out of the Adriatic. Our guide was amazing and taught us so much about the history of Croatia and Split’s importance. Plus, this was a filming location for Game of Thrones so we had fun exploring those spots as well. Thanks to breakfast being included at the hotel, our mornings started with delicious coffee and flaky pastries. The evening time there we spent strolling along the waterfront, enjoying more delicious food, and watching the sun melt into the horizon. While we were only here for a day and a half, we definitely made the most of it!

HVAR
Next up was Hvar, the sun-soaked island. Hvar was so relaxing. The second we stepped off the ferry, it felt like vacation had truly begun. The sun was beaming, the waterfront area was full of boats with people going on adventures, and the restaurants along the water were bustling. The air smelled faintly of lavender, which Hvar is known for, and the water shimmered like liquid turquoise. We split our time between lounging under umbrellas with Aperol spritzes at the pool and at the beach while also exploring the charming Old Town, where stone buildings with bright green shutters lined the narrow streets. It was so easy to get lost here… in the best way!
We had a guided walking tour of Hvar, a cycling tour through Stari Grad, and a cooking class at a farm that included unlimited wine. The food was delicious, but I’m not sure anyone remembers how to make it. (A lot of lard was involved lol). The dish we made was called peka, which is a dish but also a method of cooking that involves slow-cooking over hot coals in a brick oven. We had a mixture of vegetables, veal, lamb, and of course lots of Dalmatian cheeses to snack on. It was glorious.

DUBROVNIK
Last but not least came Dubrovnik, where the medieval city walls looked straight out of a Game of Thrones scene minus the dragons, but with far better gelato… We ate a lot of gelato. Inside the city, every corner seemed to hide something magical: tucked-away wine bars, family-run restaurants serving black risotto, and street performers turning the cobblestoned squares into impromptu stages. We had so much fun exploring every little corner of the old city although it was quite hot, which wasn’t as bad in Hvar or Split. The heat definitely started to get to us. We had a walking tour to learn about the history, then spent our free time laughing over Croatian wine (orange, rose, white, red, all different kinds haha). We spent our nights wandering through the streets and snacking on delicious local foods, stopping in little wine bars along the way… because in Dubrovnik, no one’s in a rush… except maybe us trying to non-rev home at the end of the trip lol.

By day seven, none of us wanted to leave. We’d swapped addresses, declared “we must do this again,” and promised group trips for life. If you ever think, “Hmm, Croatia with two of your favorite people sounds fun,” trust us—it was fun. And if that doesn’t tempt you into packing your bags, I don’t know what will.

Trips like this aren’t just about the places we go—they’re about the people who come along for the ride. Seeing this incredible community come to life, sharing meals, swapping stories, and making memories together is what it’s all about for us. We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us in Croatia, and we can’t wait to pack our bags and hit the road (or the skies!) with you again soon.
